A cash dispenser / ATM is located within the Congress Venue, behind the Registration Area. All major credit cards are accepted.

The City Information Desk is available during Congress Registration opening hours and is located by the Registration Area.

Congress delegates are asked to refrain from taking children and accompanying persons to any scientific session. Registered guests and children (as accompanying persons) are welcome to relax in the various rest areas or visit the Exhibition, however, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Please contact your hotel for a list of babysitters

A cloakroom service for clothing and reasonably sized items is available during the opening hours of the Congress. It is located by the Registration Area. Items of value should not be left in the cloakroom. Please make sure to collect all belongings at the end of each day.

Coffee, refreshments and snacks can be purchased from the cash point located across the Exhibition and opened during Congress hours.

Dress is informal throughout the entire Congress. IOF and ESCEO, however, reserve the right to refuse access when deemed necessary for the comfort and safety of all delegates.

First Aid will be available during Congress hours in the unit called “Infermeria” located by the Sala delle Nazioni. First Aid staff can be reached by dialing +39 055 49721 or by contacting Firenze Fiera Staff.

The Hotel Desk is located in the Registration Area during Registration opening hours.

The Internet Corner, sponsored by SERVIER, will be available to all delegates during the Congress Exhibition Hours. Please be aware of Italian Law regulation 155/2005:
“In Italy, internet access in public places is regulated by Italian Law 155/2005 which requires that all internet access be logged and identifiable and that a copy of a valid photo ID of internet users (EU photo ID or Passport required) be kept together with the logs. Internet users are required to sign in and to sign out when completing their session.”

English is the official Congress language. No translation is provided.

The Congress organizers (IOF and ESCEO), the Congress Venue (Firenze Fiera S.p.A.), its official appointed agencies for Registration (MCI Suisse SA), the Hotel Accommodation Agency (Tour Orange) and the Exhibition Organizer (Yolande Piette Communication) and any suppliers, representatives or agents linked to the organization of the Congress shall not be held liable by any person for any injury, damage, theft, loss, medical problem or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while traveling to or from, or during such person’s presence in Italy in connection with this Congress. Participants and their guests are advised to purchase their own insurance against any such occurrences.

No official lunches or official coffee breaks will be provided. Beverages and cold snacks can be purchased at the cash point located across the Exhibition and opened during Congress hours.

A Message Centre is available during the Congress for leaving and receiving written messages, posted alphabetically on a board located by the Internet Corner.

Please be respectful of speakers and fellow delegates and switch off mobile devices during all sessions.

There are two large car parkings open 24 hours, only 100 meters away from the Congress venue at Fortezza da Basso, Piazzale Caduti nei Lager, IT-50121 Firenze. Another parking lot can be reached by bus. Approximate cost of EUR 18.00 per car, per day or EUR 1.50 per car, per hour or fraction of hour.

Any security problems or concerns should be reported to +39 055 49721. Security staff will handle any emergency situation and everyone is asked to follow the instructions announced over the loudspeaker system. Emergency exits are marked with green exit signs.

In indoor public areas such as restaurants, bars, congress venue and public transports such as flights, buses, trains, metros and taxis, smoking is NOT permitted by law in Italy.

IOF and ESCEO thank all participants and exhibitors for not smoking in the Fiera Firenze Congress Centre at all times. This includes the meeting rooms, exhibition areas, poster areas, restrooms, snack bars, and within 100 metres of the main entrances and exits of the Fiera Firenze Congress Centre.

Active participants’ badges contain a bar code, which acts as an electronic business card. Visitors are therefore able to leave their contact details for Exhibitors very quickly and easily.
