Media Accreditation and Policies

IOF and ESCEO provide complimentary registration to professional journalists representing accredited media organisations for the express purpose of gathering news and information to produce editorial coverage of the event.

Registration
A maximum of three representatives from each qualified media company will be granted free registration for the Congress.

Accreditation

Accredited representatives of the media can apply for complimentary journalist registration to the IOF WCO-ECCEO10 Congress. Media participation is subject to approval by IOF.  Journalist registration is strictly reserved for accredited members of the media - print media, photo, radio, TV, film, recognized on-line titles and news agencies - who fully meet our media accreditation requirements.

Accreditation Requirements
Complimentary journalist registration will be granted upon presentation of valid press credentials including a:

  • Completed online registration and accreditation form
  • Letter of assignment on official letterhead of a media organization signed by the Publisher/Assignment Editor, Editor-in-chief or Bureau Chief, specifying the name and functional title of the journalist. Unsigned letters or e-mails will not be accepted.
  • Photocopy of a valid press card/work pass. Please present this during on-site registration as well.

The proof of accreditation needs to be forwarded directly to Laura Misteli at below contact details, preferably by e-mail at the same time on-line application is being submitted.

Requests for free registration may be denied if applicants cannot establish they are accredited professional journalists, or if the applications are incomplete.

Freelance journalists are subject to the same requirements. They must provide clear evidence they are on assignment from a specific news organization or publication. A valid assignment letter from that news organization, or publication, is required. Business cards alone will not be accepted as media credentials.

Online Media must meet the following criteria:

  • The website must provide substantial amount of original, editorial news coverage.
  • The applicant must have an established record of having written extensively on osteoporosis and bone field issues.
