Florence International Airport “Amerigo Vespucci”

The Florence International Airport is located approximately 5.8 km from the Congress Venue.

The venue can be reached by taxi (~15 minutes) or by “Vola in” bus (~25 minutes), which runs between the airport arrival terminal and the SITA bus station opposite the Santa Maria Novella railway station that is located in the center of the city.

Winter Timetable (Oct 25 2009 – Jan 31 2010)

Departure by “Vola in” bus: every half-hour from 6:00 to 23:00. Ticket costs €5.00 per person (Feb. 2010) and can be purchased:

  • on board from the driver without extra charge
  • in the airport area at the bar and at the Giunti shop inside the airport
  • at the SITA ticket office at Santa Maria Novella railway station
  • at the Sala Clienti ATAF and ATAF kiosk
  • at the authorized sales points of ATAF & LI-NEA

Pisa International Airport “Galileo Galilei”

The Pisa International Airport is located approximately 65 km from the Congress Venue.

Trains run from both Pisa Airport and Pisa Centrale to Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence (~1 hour) between 06:00 and 22.00 everyday.

Traveling by Train

In Florence, the three main train stations are:

  • Santa Maria Novella Central Station (0.6 km)

Traveling by Car

Connected by an efficient motorway network, Florence is reachable from throughout the rest of Italy and Europe.

The closest exit to congress venue (4 km) is Firenze Nord on the A1 motorway.

There are two large car parks only 100 meters away from the congress venue. Another parking lot can be reached by bus.

Public Transportation

The Congress Venue is located near Florence’s main train station Santa Maria Novella. As all city buses stop at this main station, the venue is within easy walking distance of any bus stop.

Taxi
